Bodywork & Scraping
Active Modality
Overview
Burning aged mugwort leaves close to acupoints to warm the meridians, dispel dampness, and tonify weak Yang energy.
Clinical Description & Benefits
Moxibustion (Moxa) is a thermal therapy in which dried mugwort leaves (moxa) are burned on or near specific acupoints. The heat generated by moxa penetrates deeply into the body, warming the meridians, dispelling cold, activating blood circulation, and tonifying Yang energy. It is especially beneficial for chronic cold-type disorders, joint stiffness, digestive weakness, low immunity, and breech presentation in pregnancy.
